We attended the New Melle, Mo., Christmas tree lighting Saturday night. It was right at twilight and all of the images were handheld, so I had to use 6400 and 8000 ISOs to get the shutter speed up to 1/60th of a second.
While there’s a little grain, I think the results turned out pretty good for a spur of the moment shot.
I recently photographed Gateway Metro Federal Credit Union’s new branch and grand opening celebration. Here are a few favorites of my work for them. A full gallery is in the “Continue Reading” link below.
Last night was a great test of the Canon 5D Mark III’s high ISO/low light capabilities. I was shooting at 1/500 between 8000 and 10000 ISO all night and the photos, still slightly underexposed, turned out pretty clean.
Today we remember and honor the sacrifices of those who have served our country.
